Ketsch Hafen1a

Ketsch Vagabond 47 - traditional sailing yacht from 1975

Private sale by owner: Ketch Long Keel Sailing Yacht.

This Ketch Vagabond 47 was designed in 1975 by the Italian yacht designer Prof. Georgio Zamichieli and was hand-built in Venice. Several original design plans still exist.

We are selling it for health reasons.

The yacht is made of Fibreglass (hull), the structure of teak and mahogany. The Fibreglass was made in complete mats using the hand-laid method and is much more robust than the frequently used spraying method.

The Mark-Twain is a ketch and long Keeler, making it the ideal long-distance sailer. The additional mizzen effectively balances the pressure of the headsails and can be trimmed so that she steers herself without additional apparatus. The yacht is so stable that it can be sailed with "one hand".

The yacht is in good condition but needs Competent workmanship.
It is located in Puerto de Mogán - Gran Canaria.
